Support Sara's Battle Against Esophageal Cancer
Donation protected
Hello friends,
Thank you for taking the time to visit this site and read about my dear friend, Sara. Sara and I have been close friends for 45 years now. She's the type of friend who, no matter how much time has passed since you last saw her, makes it feel like you spent no time apart. She is one of the sweetest people I know and is super creative, intelligent, and funny. Six months ago, Sara was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She had spent the last several years building up her own dog walking and pet sitting business in Long Beach and was finally getting to the point where she was making some income over and above her monthly bills when this diagnosis upended all the hard work she had put in for so long. She has poured so much love and energy into our community through her love of dogs...let's all do what we can to support her now in her time of need.
It quickly became clear that Sara would not be able to continue working, so she had to give up her apartment. Thankfully, her family was able to take her into their home. She has undergone both chemo and radiation therapy, and they have taken their toll, both physically and emotionally. She is currently trying to gain back enough weight so that she can have the surgery she needs to remove the tumor, but it is a slow and difficult process. On top of the physical toll this is taking, the mounting medical bills are looming.
Sara is a fighter. She is the strongest person I know. She is determined to beat this. But the financial strain is causing stress that is making this so much more difficult. I started this campaign to help ease this financial burden so that she can focus on her health. Every dollar donated will go directly toward covering Sara’s medical bills and day-to-day expenses. Your support, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. If you are able, please consider making a donation, and please share this campaign with your family and friends.
Thank you so much for your support.
