While helping his elderly grandfather with some physical tasks, Michael suffered a severe burst fracture in the vertebrae of his lower spine. Many of you know that Michael bravely battled cancer as a teenager and endured one of the most aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatments at just 16 years old. Those treatments, while lifesaving, left his bones weakened and ultimately contributed to this devastating injury.

Michael has always been one of the most hardworking and selfless people you could meet, and it is incredibly difficult for him to be unable to work while he undergoes a long and challenging recovery with extensive physical therapy. Surgical intervention is still a potential outcome at this point. Unfortunately, the road ahead also brings inevitable medical expenses and additional costs during this time when he can't provide for himself.
