As many of you know, Joy Merrill received some devastating news last week.

After months of tortuous chemotherapy and believing that she was cancer free lesions began appearing on her chest wall near her mastectomy scar.
They began multiplying at an alarming rate.

Joy learned quickly that surgery was not an option because the lesions were too numerous.


As bad as this was , things were about to get worse because after a Pet Scan Joy learned the cancer had metastasized to her lungs.

After meeting with her oncologist here and doctors at Duke a plan of action was determined which includes more chemotherapy coupled radiation.

Even with all this , the long term results are unknown and may be unfavorable

Miracles can and do happen and Joy definitely needs one. Healing thoughts and prayers can help soothe a horrible situation.

We have decided to set up another go fund me because there are so many unknowns and some of her treatments can run 10,000 dollars each and oncologist visits will run in the thousands. When you Layer on other tests and scans , the result can be an extraordinary amount of money.

Just reviewing what we know now is overwhelming and I hope the go fund me can help ease the burden of her crushing illness.
