Little River B&B Flood restoration

I am one of 18 artists at the Floyd Artists Association (FAA), a co-op in the little town of Floyd, Virginia in the southwest corner of the state. We are asking for your consideration in helping one of our members, Andrea Marshall, who lost almost everything in the recent flooding. I am setting up the “Go Fund Me” site for Andrea on behalf of the FAA to help her as her journey in life has taken a dramatic change because of the flooding here in Floyd.
Floyd was hit with flooding on Tuesday September 29th, 2015 caused by what seemed like weeks of extreme weather and heavy rain. As the days passed, the Little River and every creek and stream that fed it swelled to a width and depth that we had not seen in decades.
Unfortunately, The Little River Bed and Breakfast, located on a fairly high scenic spot above the Little River, became part of the river. The Little River rose and the streams behind swelled. Both bodies of water merged to filled the basement of the Little River Bed and Breakfast and then continued to rise 2 more feet into the house. And, no there was no flood insurance. The B & B is uninhabitable at this point.
As this B & B is essentially Andrea’s only means of income, it is going to take a minimum of $100,000 to get back to square one and get back in business. We would like to ask for your help in working toward this goal as Andrea is a hard-working member who asks little of no one, who works hard to deliver a great service to those who come to Floyd to stay at her B & B and at the same time, creates beautiful hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind, silver jewelry for shoppers visiting the FAA in Floyd. Please help if you can.
