Hey, I’m Kadine.
This year has been the most turbulent year of my life. I was displaced and for the first time in my life I had to find my own way. While all that was happening my art grew in popularity faster than I had ever seen. Since the beginning of the year I have been working so hard to and now at the end I have nothing to show for it. I’ve been underpaid, over worked, manipulated into doing work, harassed by people I thought were my friends, harassed by my family, when all I’m trying to do is live and spread joy and love to the community. I’m reaching out for help, because I’m falling back on everything, bills, debts, print orders, commissions...I literally feel like I’m drowning. I’m not a citizen of this country, and based on my current status I am not allowed to work.
My mental health is suffering, for the past couple days the only thing I’ve been able to do is sleep, I been having to force myself to be a participant in my own life.
