Hazel Needs Our Help

On November 1, 2022 Hazel suffered a massive brain aneurysm. She received extensive life-saving procedures at Sunnybrook and continues to fight for her survival. She remains in the ICU with life-altering changes and will require prolonged hospitalization as she and her family face a devastating new reality.

Hazel is a wife and mother of four children, two sons and 10 year-old twin daughters. She is a shining example of unparalleled kindness, generosity, and love for others. Hazel never missed a moment to offer her compassion to others, even once making a 2-hour drive to London, Ontario and back to provide a relative in quarantine with homemade meals for the week. She made immense sacrifices to create a better life for her family - saying goodbye to her husband and four young children to work in Canada until they could be reunited years later. Above all else, she loved spending time and making memories with them.

With this fundraiser, we hope to show support for Hazel, her husband Marlon, and their children, by easing the financial burden of this unfortunate situation. Your donation will help cover medical expenses for Hazel as well as basic needs for her family, allowing them to focus their energy on supporting Hazel’s recovery.
