My husband (Tim) and I adopted Mojo from a neighbor a little less than a year ago because his original dad was moving over seas. We both fell head over heels in love with Mojo in a matter of days. He is an absolutely sweet (and funny!) boy!

He had a lump on his foot when we adopted him, and the vet told us (including Mojo's original dad) that it was a cyst and that there was no rush to remove it. It started to change color and finally ruptured. Tim and I knew it was time to act and we made an appointment to get it removed. During the surgery, the vet called and asked us if we wanted a cytology lab done on the cyst "just in case." We almost declined, but opted to get this extra lab.  A few days later, it was determined that it was not a cyst at all, but rather a rare (and aggressive) form of cancer called a hemangiosarcoma. Even worse, the cytology showed that there was remaining cancerous tissue in Mojo's paw.

We consulted with an oncologist who said Mojo's prognosis would likely be good only if we completely amputated his leg and put him on a brief (5 doses) of chemotherapy that is well tolerated by cats. The cost for the amputation alone was estimated to be at least $5k. This does not include the overnight stay at the vet, nor the chemo.

Tim and I are desperate and pleading for any help you can afford! In the past year and a half, Tim and I have lost two other beloved cats to cancer. It's been too much heartbreak in too short amount of time. We have spent thousands on their treatment and the surgery for Mojo's tumor. We are out of Care Credit. The help from our friends and kind strangers is Mojo's only hope. We want this little guy to survive. He has a chance. We love him desperately. We simply cannot afford it.

Please help. No amount is too small.
