This fundraiser is to raise money to help my mother, Monica Ohene-Opare pay medical bills incurred during her treatment for breast cancer.

As many of you know, Monica has dedicated all of her adult life to caring for others. Through her charitable work and her schools, she has made it a lifelong quest to provide basic education to under privileged children in Ghana.

Even in her time of need, she has found it extremely difficult to reach out to friends for help, but because she is not insured in the United States, the medical bills have quickly piled up.
