We are raising money for Kristina Tom--a beloved and active member of our community, and an incredible mother, grandmother, teacher, caregiver, friend, neighbor and human being.

In March, Kristina suffered a life threatening bacterial infection that led to septic shock. She has been hospitalized ever since and has undergone multiple major, life-changing surgeries, including the loss of limbs, as part of her fight to survive. While she is now in stable condition, doctors continue working to control the infection and support her recovery.

Her family has been with her everyday in the hospital and now faces significant and growing medical expenses--from the extended hospital stay and surgeries to the long road of rehabilitation ahead. Preparing for Kristina's return home will also require major adjustments and changes to her home, as well as long term support care.
