Help my father live

Three months ago my father celebrated his 60th birthday. Last month, he went for his routine checkup feeling great and in good health. The doctors gave him news that he did not expect and has created an unfortunate shift in his life and everyone in his family. The doctors told him that he has carcinoma- a type of cancer found in the stomach. As you can imagine, this is a very aggressive type of cancer and has our family stricken with worry, fear and sadness. Over the next few days, my father will be going through an emergency gastrectomy surgery to remove his entire stomach with a recovery that will take up to nine months. After the surgery, he will then have to undergo intensive chemotherapy.

We have a long journey ahead of us that will impact the entire family. My father is a father to four children and eight grandchildren and is the foundation of our family. He is and has always been there to guide and support us. Now, it is our turn to support him through this difficult time. With my father being the lone provider of his household and a major support to his children and grandchildren, we are at a loss of how he will be able to support his family and pay for all the extensive medical bills. I turn to you for help to open your hearts and to help my family at this difficult time.
