Honoring Matthew’s Memory with Love

Matthew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, dog dad, small business owner, and a compassionate human. Like most young people, he never anticipated leaving this world until he was old and gray and had no independent life insurance policy. However, on Saturday, 4/11/2026, at the age of 27, the world had other plans. Due to the fact that he ran his own small business, he didn't have a life insurance plan provided through work, and therefore, nothing to use to pay for the services and cremation he deserves.

Matt never met a person he couldn't instantly talk to and make a connection with. If you were engaged in a one-on-one conversation (or really any conversation with him), you would be enthralled with his various stories of the gym, his rides, a trip, or just his day-to-day life. He was also always there to lend an ear when you had something to tell, to bounce ideas off of, or to seek advice. His smile was infectious and radiated warmth and genuine joy. He was never too busy to entertain one of his nieces or nephews. And he was especially never too busy to give Ocean all the love and attention he craved, or really any four-legged animal he came across. You can truly tell the character of someone by the way they treat animals, and his care and compassion towards animals was above and beyond.

If you knew Matthew through friendship, through school growing up, through motorcycle riding as an adult, or as one of his many beloved customers, please consider donating to help lessen the pain that the family is already going through by not having to worry about funding this on their own. Any donation, no matter how small, is beyond appreciated. We understand especially right now that economic times are hard, so even sharing this on your page for someone else to see would be greatly appreciated.

This money will go towards his cremation and celebration of life. Any additional funds will be used to help with the care of his beloved dog, Ocean.

We are going to have the celebration of life after Matt’s services at Chippanee Country Club from 7:15-9:30. There will be chicken, pasta, meatballs, vegetables, rolls, and salad served during that time. There will be a cash bar available for those who want to have adult beverages.

Mark, Matthew's brother, has been added as the beneficiary. He has already been added as the only person who can withdraw the funds and is using them to pay the funeral home and celebration of life today. Any additional funds that remain after those two items will be put into a HYSA with Kim's name along with one of her children or myself to use for Ocean's vet bills, so that is one less thing she will need to worry about.

Thank you again for your donations, kind words, love and support.
