Hi Everyone! My name is Jasmine and on July 26, 2025, my 13-year-old son was riding his bike and was hit by a car. He sustained a fractured skull, a fractured collarbone, and a fractured toe. His face was cut open from his cheekbone to the top of his ear. He has multiple open wounds, cuts, scrapes, and bruises. He's experiencing vertigo and memory loss as well as slightly slurred speech due to the cut on his face. All in all, they are predicting that his full recovery will take about a year.

Because of his injuries, he has to see a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist, a mental health therapist, a neurologist, a trauma specialist, and an ear-nose-throat specialist. All of this is in addition to his endocrinologist that he sees for his type 1 diabetes. Having to take him to all of these appointments continuously over the next 8-12 weeks stands to leave me missing a lot of work and missing out on pay, that I honestly can't afford to miss out on.
