Curtail Covid in Rural India
Donation protected

India is experiencing a catastrophic surge in COVID-19 cases causing unprecedented devastation. Rural areas are particularly hit harder. AVS Academy students under the leadership of Shreya Hiremath are collaborating with SERA Trust to raise funds, so that villagers could be provided with essential medication, 300 emergency medical kits, Thermometers, Oximeters, Volunteer protective gears, 3 ply masks, hand sanitizers, soap, and disinfectant sprays. Our goal is to spread awareness to save lives, and support health workers and people in crisis.
The villagers have to travel about 25-30 miles to District hospitals to avail medical facilities. Most of the times they are unable to differentiate between covid symptoms v/s other symptoms. We are building a Web application which would track the symptoms, so it can be prevented from becoming severe. On ground, ASHA workers and volunteers from SERA Trust, in collaboration with the local doctors, would help in procuring, distributing the medical supplies, and monitoring the symptoms using the web application. In addition, they would help with educating the people on curtailing the spread of the virus. We are beginning with 12 villages in Wanaparthy district, in the state of Telangana.
