This whole process, ultimately about a year in the making is quickly approaching and I’ll be 12 pounds lighter on Dec 2nd! And trust me, I won’t be nearly as annoying as I am now when I can walk around topless- and that’s legal for now in this hyper-f@scist state (unless you’re in Idaho) so yay!

I’ve been saving up for this surgery, but with being off of work for about 8-10 weeks and other costs associated with recovery, I’m leaning into community support and people that owe me a loooot of favors (lookin at you cis het ppl). And odds are I may truly need that full 8-10 weeks to heal since some of my kids at work treat the clinic like it’s a WorldStar and parkour audition. I love em though <3. The future is bright.

I’m really excited to have a body that more closely aligns with how I feel and view myself. And for the cis people who may not understand. Constantly getting misgendered is like someone always getting your name wrong and then pointing out aspects of your body as to why they’re getting it wrong. Like oh you have long hair so you must be Brittany. Oh you’re voice is high so you must be Haley. Oh you’re wearing shoes so you must be Jordan. And then you’re like, I like Jordan, I feel like a Jordan, call me Jordan. And they’re like…yeeaaah but Jordans don’t have long hair soooo I’m still gonna call you Ashley.

This is for all the Jordans out there whose teachers told them they’d never make it.
