It’s September 4, 2021 and it’s my youngest grandson, Dezi, it’s his 3rd birthday! Pretty symbolic his birthday is on Labor Day Weekend. (Anyone remember the biggest telethon done for a gazillion years on Labor Day Weekend???). JERRY LEWIS, MDA Telethon! Raising money for “Jerry’s Kids!”. Those darling kids with heartbreaking stories, many of them in their wheel chairs? Labor Day + Jerry Lewis = MDA Telethon .

Never, ever, never would I have guessed every year when we phoned in our donation, so Ed McMahon could drum up the orchestra to say hit it, the numbers would spin, we would all gasp at home. And the leader board went up by millions!

Jerry would wipe his face with his handkerchief and cry! Millions upon millions of dollars were raised every telethon!

Did you know STILL there is no cure!

So why am I reminding you of this? Because my little guy, Dezi, who celebrates 3 years old today, he needs you! He needs you to pledge right here! Because he has Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy! Miracles come in the form of clinical trial drugs, gene replacement therapy, and other opportunities that just might open up! This little guy has the Irish Fighting Spirit! He has no idea what’s ahead of him! We do! We know too much, and it’s harrowing. So please, your donation matters, it will start the process of miracle finding!
