My friend and roommate Dezarae is one of those rare, radiant souls who gives so much of herself to everyone around her. She’s the kind of person to do anything for someone she loves. She’s hardworking, endlessly kind, and always the first to show up when someone else is in need. Now, she’s facing a deeply challenging time, and I’m hoping we can come together in this time of need and help her out like she always helps us!

At the end of June, Dez suddenly became very ill after an ovarian cyst ruptured. Just as she was starting to recover, she began having unexpected seizures, and they haven’t stopped since. She’s now home on strict rest, navigating the fear and uncertainty of not knowing what’s causing them. On top of it all, her driver’s license has been suspended due to the seizures, and she’s been forced to take medical leave from work. She applied for sickness EI but hasn’t received any financial support yet. Leaving her unsure how she is going to keep herself afloat financially.

Dez would never ask for help herself, but right now, she truly needs us. She has two amazing pups, Lighla and Queenie, who are her world and have been by her side through every tough moment. Any donations will go directly toward keeping the dogs afloat: covering essential bills, medications, and transportation to the many medical appointments she now has to attend.
