Send Dexter Shea To Taiwan



My name is Dexter, I am 12 years old and I go to school at Yinghua Academy , in NE Minneapolis.


I am raising money to go on a 2-week educational trip to Taiwan this summer with my school, and I needed some help.
Last year, I decided that I wanted a better education.

I started Yinghua Academy, a very academically rigorous Chinese Immersion school, in the last 6 weeks of last school year (6th grade).

Since starting Yinghua Academy, I have joined Debate, Yearbook Club and I participate in five different clubs during the school week as well. I am trying to take advantage of every opportunity that has been given to me at my new school.

Before I attended Yinghua I did not speak any Chinese. I have done all of the hard work of going from zero Chinese to Intermediate Lvl Chinese (high enough to attend the trip) in less than a year.  The only thing holding me back is the cost of the trip.

Passport Costs    $105
Trip Supplies additional costs $800
Spending Money $295

The first $1800 is due by the end of February so please help me out by reposting this everywhere!

I am grateful of any help I get. I am planning on taking photos on the trip and keeping an art journal too. I will be posting some of these images on my instagram @classicweirdoh when I come home and maybe even from Taiwan.
