We're Leslie, Dave, and Dexter, and our family needs your help.

Dexter's life changed 3 years ago when he was enjoying a fetch at Fernhill Park and took a spill. He has been in on-and-off pain since then and has not been able to enjoy fetching or long hikes for over a year now. The prognosis at the time was that he had a micro tear in his ACL. We have spent hundreds on PT, exams, and therapy with little to no results. Recently, his condition has worsened and he's having trouble getting around on basic walks as well as standing up from sitting or laying.

For those of you who know Dexy, he is the friendliest, most ambitious, and playful boy who can never sit still. And he's still young with SO much happy life in front of him. We are concerned that if we wait too much longer, it may turn into a full tear and even cause harm to his good leg. Two injured backlegs is what we are really trying to avoid.

We saw a specialist this week, and we need your help. Dexter needs a TPLO surgery in order to have a full recovery and be able to enjoy his freedom again. This Surgery will range from $7000-$10,000.

This is the first time we have reached out to friends and family like this, but due to Dave's recent lay-off we are asking for any amount that you have to help Dexter get back to himself and making doggy friends!
