Dexter's Medical Expenses and Children

My name is Bobby Espiritu, a friend of the Dabu Family, and Best Friend of Dexter. As many of you know, Dexter was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2019. The diagnosis was shocking and unexpected. The doctors estimated that Dexter had approximately 4-8 months to live. As you can imagine, that news was devastating. When I received the call from Dexter explaining the outcome, we rallied quickly and came up with a plan. Dexter would take the recommended course of chemotherapy to aggressively fight the cancer. Dexter initially had great results with the treatment. However, over time there were wins and setbacks, but Dexter remained strong-willed the entire time. In January 2023, the doctors informed Dexter that the chemotherapy was no longer effective... and it's with great grief and sadness that I inform you that Dexter joined his mother in Heaven on February 4th, 2023.

Dexter remained strong until the end, cancer took him, but never took his mind or strength. Dexter is survived by his loving wife, Eloisa, and his two beautiful children, Leanne (13 yo, aka Lilly) and Sean (8 yo).

It's with Lilly and Sean in mind that I have created this GoFund.

Eloisa has now become a single parent, raising the children on her own. The funds raised will help offset expenses and any remaining will go towards the children's future. No contribution is too small.
