Dexter is back in the hospital after heart surgery

My name is Crystal. I am Dexter's Aunt. James his father is a single dad and has already overcame so much the last 5 weeks dealing with Dexter's heart surgery. He made it through heart surgery and was doing great until a few days ago when he fell ill. He was airlifted to Edmonton with James by his side for an infection running through his body from the surgery. He has already been in the hospital a week, and this morning we found out Dexter's incision needs to be reopened and cleaned out, which will require them to be there possibly for weeks. He will also need IV Therapy when he gets home. James is a proud man, and would never ask anything for anyone. So many of you donated for hotels, and funds through his surgery and for that James and Dexter are forever grateful, but he needs help again. Being a single dad, and missing that much work and stressing about bills while he's watching his son fight this infection is the last thing he needs to worry about. ***Update*** Thank you to everyone for donating it's been a huge sigh of relief for James while he navigates through this with Dexter. Dexter had a procedure to clean out the infection which went well on Feb 3rd. We are now on the 6th and James has updated us that the echo he received this morning shows more infection and its on the new valve that was put in. The infectious disease team is now involved and hoping to get him on an antibiotic to fight it. He officially has endocarditis which is inflammation on the inside of the lining of the heart chambers and valves. These two are in for along haul trying to get this under control.
