Our dear friend Elle is going through an incredibly difficult time. Her long term partner, Dexter was recently diagnosed with leukaemia. After spending two weeks at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital stabilising his condition, Dexter has now had to return home to Malaysia to begin intensive chemotherapy.
Elle and Dexter have built a life together here in Perth — living, working, and studying side by side while on student visas. Now, as Dexter begins his fight against leukaemia back home, Elle is juggling study and work, all while trying to stay strong for the person she loves most.
We’re reaching out to help ease some of the financial pressure Elle is facing. Funds raised will go towards:
- Covering Dexter’s hospital stay at SCGH $54k as he isn’t eligible to Medicare due to being an overseas visitor.
- Ongoing treatment costs in Malaysia
- Flights for Elle to visit and support Dexter during his treatment
