Dex is in trouble — and time is running out.

This 7-year-old Doberman has been a loyal companion, protector, and best friend. But now he’s the one who needs protecting.

In just a few short weeks, Dex has gone from running freely to struggling to walk. His hind legs are now knuckling, a clear sign of worsening nerve damage. He’s eating again, but still not drinking water on his own. His mobility is declining each day, and without immediate diagnosis and care, the damage could become irreversible.

The most likely cause is a serious spinal condition like IVDD, but we can’t begin the right treatment until we get an MRI or CT scan to know for sure.

Dex’s devoted dad hasn’t left his side. For over a month, he’s paused everything — missing work, sleeping beside Dex, carrying him when needed, and doing all he can to keep him comfortable. But the costs for diagnostics, treatment, and rehab are overwhelming.

We’re asking for help to cover:
• MRI or CT scan for diagnosis ($4,000–$5,000)
• Pain management, emergency hydration, medications ($3,000–$5,000)
• Possible surgery & hospitalization ($7,000–$10,000)
• Physical therapy & mobility rehab ($2,000–$3,000)
• Living expenses while Dex’s dad provides full-time care ($1,500–$2,000)

Dex still has a spark in his eyes. He wants to keep going — we just need to give him the chance.

Please donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Every bit helps us get closer to saving his mobility.

With love and gratitude,
Dex’s dad
