Steven Abreu's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Barak Gordon and I am from Tenafly, New Jersey. I have been friends with Steven since we were in grammar school.
Steven Abreu recently went on a vacation to Costa Rica with myself and a group of our friends. While there, he got into an accident on March 15th and had to be airlifted to the hospital in Costa Rica. Since that day until this very moment, Steven has been in the hospital. We have been notified by the doctors that he did suffer a brain injury and it will be a long road to recovery but with the right treatment and doctors, he will be able to fully recover. Due to the brain injury, he needs to be taken directly to a hospital once he gets back to the United States. He will have to see a neurosurgeon as his first steps towards recovery.
Steven's family including his parents and sister took the first flight out as soon as they were notified of the accident. They have been there by his side ever since.
In order to support the Abreu's, we are trying to raise enough money to be able to cover all the medical bills (including the hospital bills in Costa Rica thus far, as well as any medical bills once he is back in the States), all the transportation including the helicopter and ambulance, the travel and hotel expenses for his family to be able to be there with him, and the time that Steven has missed and will miss from work as a result of this accident.
Anyone who knows Steven knows that he always goes above and beyond for his family and friends (including myself), and so please, I ask that we go above and beyond for him at this time of need.
There is no such thing as too small of a donation. Any little bit helps. Please keep Steven in your prayers. He will need them on his long road to recovery. Thank you for your support.
