My dad got diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to his brain and his adrenal gland. They believe it is stage 4. He is awaiting a biopsy to figure out next steps, but they are thinking radiation to help prolong life, though they don’t believe there is a cure. This news came as a shock to myself, my siblings, and even more to my stepmom. He is a loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He is currently in a hospital that is an hour and a half away from home, and once he is released and starts radiation, if that is the course they choose, he will have to drive that same distance for each treatment. We are trying to raise money to help with medical bills and also to help my stepmom and dad pay bills at home while they focus on treatment. Every little bit helps.
