Help fund Dewey’s surgery!

Hi my name is Zoe, and I’m fundraising for our sweet boy Dewey. He is a fun loving, high energy playful boy who although middle aged, still has the heart of a kitten.

We’ve had Dewey for 5 years and rescued him from a shelter when he was 2. He was released to a shelter because he had injured his leg and the family couldn’t care for his needs. His playful nature sometimes gets him into trouble, but we couldn’t let that stop us from bringing him home with us. In return Dewey has given us so much joy and love and has been there for us when we’ve needed him most.

Now it’s time we be there for him. A small scratch quickly got infected and now he is suffering with swelling and a large cyst that will likely need to be surgically drained. Antibiotics are not working and he’s in pain, not his usual fun loving self.

We’ve always made sure that Dewey has had the care he’s needed and the funds necessary to provide that for him! But this past month my husband has had to go on medical leave himself and so savings have dwindled and we are not going to be able to give him the care he needs without your help.

Goal amount is based on estimated costs for Dewey’s care including:

Vet consultation, anesthesia, procedure and further antibiotics to keep the infection from continuing. Any additional funds received will be used to give Dewey some comforts while he recovers from surgery or will go into his emergency savings fund in case of future medical expenses.
