DEWEY NEEDS EMERGENCY SURGERY!

Dewey and Erin are in urgent need of support so that Dewey can undergo an MRI and emergency surgery TODAY!

At the beginning of the week, Dewey seemed especially painful and was struggling to put weight on his front leg, which has a history of giving him trouble. He saw his usual vet a few days ago, who felt a lot of stiffness in his neck and prescribed steroids and muscle relaxers in hopes of giving him some relief. Unfortunately, things have continued to progress, with Dewey constantly trembling, unable to walk, and very clearly in pain.

Now, Dewey is at the emergency vet, where an MRI found that he has bulging discs in his neck that are pinching nerves. He needs immediate surgery to prevent further injury and paralysis. The estimate for the MRI and surgery is $12,000-14,000, and may increase depending on how many nights he needs to spend at the ER.

Dewey is the center of Erin's universe. Between his double enoculation a few years ago, severe allergies, chronic pain from arthritis and slipped discs, GI issues, removal of cancerous growths, multiple daily medications and supplements, and about a million trips to the vet, Erin has spent tens of thousands of dollars on little Dew. While he's worth every penny, today's bill is far beyond what she can spend at the drop of a hat - as I'm sure we can all relate to.

Erin is the kind of person who would quite literally give you the shirt off of her back, with no questions or judgement. She's always the first to offer help to others, yet feels guilty asking for help herself. Now more than ever, she and Dewey need our support.
