My name is Jennifer Arwood Rowe and on 9/23/2025 In Walnut Grove , Ga the unthinkable happened to my father, Dewey Elliott Arwood. He was on his way to his brothers house cause he thought he left something there that morning. The sad thing is I found the item the next day at the edge of his bed. I broke down. He was driving west on HWY 138 and a car ran a stop sign and hit the passenger side of a Ford F350, which had a gooseneck trailer attached in the east bound lane. The truck lost control from the impact and went over into my fathers lane and the trailer ran over his corvette which was his pride and joy. He had put everything in that car. He was killed instantly and is still at the GBI lab trying to be officially identified. I can't get the image of his wreck out of my mind and for him to die this way has been a horrific image in our minds because someone chose to disobey a traffic sign. He has life insurance for the funeral and that's all it covers which is the bare minimum but his burial is gonna be at Hill Haven memory gardens in Monroe , Ga and they require their own fee for the grave to be dug up and closed back up. It can't be paid out of the funeral home expense, we have tried. We don't have it and now we are having to pay bills at 2 homes and loss of work cause I can't focus on anything but this horrible tragedy that has struck our family. My husband is disabled and I'm a bus driver so our funds are very low. I'm not asking but to help pay the burial at Hill Haven. I just want to honor my dad and give him the burial he deserves. He literally can't even be buried without this payment. Please help our family and if you can't help financially then please keep us in your prayers. We are seeking comfort which is so hard to find at this time...
Service is pending on when he is released which is hopefully gonna be soon.
