Dew Drop's Health Crisis: Your Support Needed

In mid March, my indoor-only kitty, Dew Drop, broke out of my screened window while I was out. After 3 long sleepless days, our baby finally returned home. Unknowingly, he picked up a parasite while he was out called mycoplasma. He came home with some cat fight wounds and was treated immediately for those with no other concerns.
A few weeks later, Dew Drop suddenly started acting very strange. Yowling, hiding, constipated, and all over looked very unwell. I took him to an urgent care where he was treated for constipation and sent home. After bringing him back to that urgent care 2 days later with no improvement, I left yet again with no answers and a still very sick cat.
The day I got him back from our 2nd urgent care visit, he began hiding in new spots, harder spots to find. This is when I knew I had to get him somewhere, fast. I brought him to VCA Animal Specialty Group where they gave me the hardest news of my life; they didn’t think he would survive this. Something had been very wrong for a while and cats will fake it til they make it. He was found to be severely anemic, causing him to have PICA (and eat his kitty litter). Dew Drop was barely breathing when he got there with a low heart rate and a red blood cell count of 11. Normal range for kitties is 35-45. My baby was also completely yellow due to reasons unbeknownst to us at the time. He tested positive for IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), causing his body to attack his own red blood cells.
I visited him every day in the hospital. On my way to see him one day, my seemingly perfect car broke down in the middle of the road, resulting in a tow and a new hybrid battery (Prius batteries are pricey!) After spending 6 long nights there (and 3 blood transfusions) Dew & I were finally reunited. He is the strongest fighter boy ever. He really wanted to live and he did! Dew has been taking medication twice a day to help keep him on the right track to recovery and will be having consistent checkups until further notice.
Fortunately, I have pet insurance for my little guy. Unfortunately, the total of the bill (before insurance) is still $17,023.72. While I will definitely not have to pay the total of the bill, the total will still be very pricey. Combined with his urgent care visit, new car battery, and all of his emergency life-saving care, I’m out of pocket over $5000. Any help is appreciated. I mean it, ANY!
More than anything, I want to thank everyone for being so kind and supportive during this really, really, difficult time. Your thoughts, prayers, and love you all sent his way truly played a role in his recovery (and mine.) Thank you thank you thank you!!!
