Devoted father loses leg in work accident

On Tuesday December 18th , James Turnquest was involved in a catastrophic accident at work involving a forklift   and was air flighted to Capitol health center ( FULD) for emergency surgery ! During his ordeal he remained calm and concerned for his family and co workers .  During surgery his leg was reattached even though the surgeon assigned to him ( Dr.Carusso ) felt the horrific damage would make it impossible for him to save his limb ! 

Thursday December 20th surgeons decided that amputation would be the best course of action . 

James a father of 6 and hands on and involved with his children has a long rode ahead ... he currently lives in a 3 story home - and because of that is looking at massive rehab time away from his family and friends .  There are so many needs that need to be met in spite of a lapse in work and his inability to physically help ! Mentally it has taken a toll on an other wise upbeat - active - self sufficient person and his entire family is struggling to cope with this tragedy ! Both emotionally and financially ! 

The out pouring of love and support - from friends and strangers the children he has coached and their families is a reminder of the impact he has made on the lives of those in his community - and we have been asked non stop how people can show support . We are asking for donations to help with relocation - cost and meeting needs while he tries to recover ! All flowers - food etc can be delivered to Capitol health Brunswick Avenue surgical trauma unit .  He will spend the holidays at the hospital and has yet to see 5/6 of his children  who are also grieving from the realization that life as they know it has changed forever We thank you in advance !
