Devon was born October 19,1993 as we all know; I believe he was born before the 80’s but, that’s besides the point. Lol. Devon was taken way too early.

Devon set goals and despite his health issues, wouldn’t stop until he completed them. Devon began his career in Colorado at Intelli Tec College, moved back to Nc where he completed his training to become a Certified Medical Assistant. With hard work and dedication Devon became employed with The helping hands clinic As a Medical Assistant in Sanford Nc.

Devon has been dealing with Kidney failure for years; one successful kidney transplant 3 months after the death of his mother just before turning 18. Almost a year after, he had to live through the death of his Father.

Devon is the baby of 10 kids, Uncle to 26, great uncle to 12, the god father to 3 and a father figure to everyone; If you know then, you know because he’s gonna tell you what you need to hear whether you listen or not. Lol. Devon was a gamer and although he loved to tell jokes, he was serious about himself and others. Devon would’ve been 28 years old in a few short weeks and planned to visit his hometown, family and friends. Devon was born and raised in Long Island NY, became a NC resident Back in 2005. Devon has gained a Large bonus Family; a few bonus moms, Sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, kids and cousins within the community;He’d say, “ you not a friend if you not family shtooopid” lol.

Devon began prepping for the next chapter in his life, On September 27,2021 he started a life insurance policy through his job, he packed his truck with all his belongings, he just signed his lease for an apartment all while he prepped for his Parathyroidectomy surgery for September 30,2021. Devon done this surgery back in April so, he Continued with his usual daily activities such as going to work up until Thursday Morning; day before surgery. Friday Morning We all got the text of him just informing us he’s “going in the back”. Later that night, the surgery was successful. As the weekend came to an end, we were all waiting for him to be discharged to celebrate his new milestones only we got a call Monday October 4,2021 informing us that he didn’t make it.

This go fund me will help pay for a proper burial for Devon. Being that he was loved by so many people in two states, we want to have a viewing for his friends and family in NC before bringing him to his final resting place in Ny where he will be buried with his Mother and Grandmother.
