Hi, I'm Devon! I'm a physical therapist, movement advocate, and firm believer that quality care should know no borders.
This May, I'm traveling to Guatemala with Move Together, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding global access to rehabilitation medicine (http://movetogether.org/). From May 23–31, 2026, I'll be working alongside local clinicians at three clinic sites—in Villa Nueva, Ciudad Vieja, and La Antigua—serving patients who have little to no access to physical therapy, and mentoring local healthcare providers so they can continue delivering quality care long after I'm gone.
Why I'm going:
International travel has always been a grounding experience for me. I'm passionate about sharing the power of movement with communities near and far, and I believe deeply that every person, regardless of where they live, deserves access to care that can change their life for the better. As a PT, I've seen firsthand what movement can do for someone's quality of life, and I want to bring that to communities who need it most.
But this trip isn't just about what I can give. I'm equally excited to learn. I'm excited to step into Guatemalan culture, understand how they serve their people, and bring those lessons back home to make me a better, more well-rounded clinician for my own community.
Where your money goes:
I'm raising $3,500 to make this trip possible:
- $1,800 goes directly to Move Together to fund clinic operations, in-country logistics, and resources for the team on the ground
- $1,000 covers my travel costs (flights and transportation)
- Any additional funds go straight to resources the Move Together team needs while we're there
Every dollar directly supports the mission of getting quality rehabilitation care to people who need it.
How you can help:
If you're able to contribute, I would be so incredibly grateful. If a financial donation isn't possible right now, sharing this page with your own network means just as much.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let's move together.
With gratitude,
Dr. Devon Morris, PT, DPT, OCS
