My name is Kara. I’m a single mother of 4 young men. I’ve been doing my best raising them alone.

My oldest son, DeVon, was in an extremely bad car accident. He was drinking and driving. He’s 20 years old. He was injured badly. He fractured his spine, has staples in his back, stitches on his knee, a back brace, and is almost completely covered in bandages. He made a HUGE mistake that he will regret for the rest of his life.

He is in jail and needs help with attorney fees that I cannot cover alone. We need at least $5000 to hire an attorney and then we can pay the rest later.

I am asking anyone that can even donate $1 or anything at all, so I can help him get an attorney. The attorney is $15,000, and we need at least $6,000 upfront. If not, he could be serving up to 60 years in prison. His life just started, and he made a mistake. He will be doing time regardless. We are just trying to get him the least amount of time possible.

He’s a hard worker, a great son, a great friend, and has a huge heart. He needs to be at home, so I can help take care of his injuries and help him bathe until he’s sentenced. Anything helps.
