Devon York is an art teacher who is married with twin sophomore girls. She was diagnosed last year with breast cancer. Since then she has endured a double mastectomy, chemo, and just started radiation. Devon and her husband were both off work for a period of about 8 months while she went through chemo. Her medical bills have been stacking up as her insurance plan didn’t cover cancer. She currently owes tens of thousands of dollars for surgical fees, chemo, and radiation.
