My family lost a beautiful soul on October 15, 2022...A loving son, uncle, cousin and friend. The death of a soul like his could and would never be replaced. We miss him dearly and wish that he was still here with us. Our GoFundme is to provide a proper homegoing burial and service to commemorate the life of "Von" and all the treasured memories we will forever hold dear. Life is hard, and our struggles are even harder! To our black men, we know that the chips are stacked against you. Don't ever feel like you are alone. Suicide is not the answer! Lean on a trusted family member or friend. Lend your voice to a stranger that can help. Find a support group. Taking your own life never just impacts you; it also affects your loved ones.

If you or someone you know is going through something, depressed, sad, angry, etc., please get them help. Never ignore the signs and believe everything be ok. Be proactive! Listen! We need to be a voice of help to our black men dealing with everyday life challenges. Let's build a community of support for our sons! A mother's plea!
