On Friday 7/12 Devon was attacked by a dog. He has multiple injuries that are going to keep him out of work, a time frame that we are not sure of yet. He has undergone his first surgery for his ear that is missing a piece until they can find someone that can reconstruct his ear for him. This is the first step of a very long road. On top of the ear he also has significant damage to his dominant hand and multiple puncture wounds on his neck and face. Devon is the sole provider for our family, as I just had our daughter a few months ago. He has just began a new job that left him in the limbo of insurance, making all of these expenses out of pocket. ** after surgery on his ear and 7 stitches on his hand we were able to go home. We have another appointment Monday 7/22 for his hand and waiting to hear from the surgeon about Devon’s next ear surgery. We still don’t have exact answers on how long he will be out of work but he is able to get short term disability which will help!
