Hi,

My name is Darcy Jones, and I’m a student at The Kings School in Ottery St Mary. For the past five years, I’ve been passionate about cricket—playing for both Ottery St Mary Cricket Club and my school team. Thanks to the fantastic coaching and support I’ve received locally, I was selected for the Devon Girls Development Team in 2022, and last year I progressed to play for the full Devon County Age Group side, where I was honoured to be named Bowler of the Year for the Devon U14 girls in 2025.

Now, as a member of the U15 Devon County team, I have been selected for the incredible opportunity to tour Sri Lanka in February 2026. This tour is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play overseas, test my skills against talented players from different regions across the country, and experience cricket in a completely new environment. The tour will includes 6 full match days alongside training sessions. Beyond the sport, I’ll also be immersed in learning about the Sri Lankan culture—visiting temples, local schools, wildlife sanctuaries, and seeing sights unlike anything in Devon.
