Devon and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulances
Donation protected
In mid-July 2024, our beautiful, funny, cheeky 14 year old niece, Grace, was hit by a car at high speed on her way home from school. Her survival on that day was due to a series of small miracles - from passing medics and air ambulances to the amazing staff at Bristol Children's Hospital A&E.
At the time, the Devon Air Ambulance rushed to the scene, and although they gave the initial much-needed emergency treatment, due to the nature of her head injuries, speciality medics were required, so Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was also called in, as they had access to necessarily skilled medics at that moment. Both Air Ambulance teams saved her life.
To try to repay even a fraction of the care and love Grace has received, we are fundraising for both Devon Air Ambulance, and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance equally. In order to do this, The Buckley's are planning to make fools of themselves again, with various fundraising events. We begin with a pub quiz in our local pub (The Crown) at the end of Feb, followed by a fundraising evening with live music on April 5th.. We would really appreciate any support you're able to give us towards this goal.
Grace continues to show us every day what a fighter she is, it's the least we can do.
