Life is a series of moments, one after another, and any one of those moments can alter everything. Devon experienced a moment in his life a couple days ago where he didn't see any other options for escape, and ended up taking his life. There are many speculations as to why, and that's all they ever will be. The truth is, only Devon knows the exact reason why. One moment does not define a life, but a lifetime of moments does.

He will forever be known as the guy who was always on some adventure, able to outwork anyone, a hilarious jokester, extremely thoughtful, an amazing listener, independent, selfless, compassionate, had a deep love for nature, and most of all, a huge loveable gentle giant with a heart of gold.

The Kiser family had great, positive moments with him days before his passing, and did not expect his final decision. God's plan for us on earth is to exercise our gift of agency to learn, grow, and choose for ourselves. We value this gift no matter how it's used.

Devon's decision helps bring awareness to the increasing mental struggles and illnesses all around us. His story is a reminder of how precious life is and to value each moment we have with our loved ones. We don't know when it will be our last.

Devon's last wish was to live every day like it's your last.

Just as our beloved Devon chose to elevate everyone around him, let's live like Devon and raise our individual standards to help improve the quality of life of others.

It would be much appreciated by Devon's family and friends if you are able to contribute to the GoFundMe. It will go towards his celebration of life and family travel expenses. If you are only able to give a little or none that is completely okay.
