On January 4, 2020 Devin Samuel Ortega passed away unexpectedly. Devin was a son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, teammate, and devoted friend. He left a lasting impact with everyone he met.
Devin turned 16 in December. As a young sophomore at Legacy High School, Devin aspired to serve our country in the military after he graduated. Devin loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and football. We will always remember Devin for his clever charm and competitive spirit he brought into every room.
This is undoubtedly the worst time in our lives. As a family, we have done our best to plan for such an unforeseen event, however, with a tragedy like this, one can never properly plan. We've received an incredible amount of love, well wishes and offers from so many of our friends and family. Thank you. We are incredibly grateful and appreciate you all.
As we move forward, we are asking that you share this message. For those who have reached out and/or asked how to help, this is one way to assist with the hardship of this unexpected tragedy. 100% of your support will go directly to cover the costs of laying Devin to rest. We will be sharing more information about the services as they become available.
