Tragically, Devin Herring (AKA Big Man), an amazing 17 year old from Tremont Pa, lost his life along with 2 others in a two vehicle accident on Rt 209 in Reilly Twp. on Saturday 10/20/18 in which one of his friends was also injured. Devin's father, Scott also passed away in February to an illness. Although Devin was only 17, he was wise beyond his years. Devin stepped up and took the role of the house after his dad's passing and did an amazing job doing so by sacrificing his needs to take care of his family. He was a very loving, selfless and thoughtful person. None of us can imagine the financial and emotional stress this can put on a family unless we have lived it. Devin's mother Missy Frantz Herring and his sister Katie can use all the moral support and prayers as well as financial donations to help assist in the unexpected funeral expenses for Devin while they are still paying on his dad's funeral expenses as well. Devin was a senior and would have graduated from Pine Grove Area High School in June 2019 and had planned to attend a trade school to become an auto mechanic. In addition to enjoying mechanics, Devin was also an avid hunter due to the influence of his dad. He would have turned 18 next month. Any support is greatly needed and appreciated and will undoubtedly ease a small amount of hardship at this time for Missy and Katie. And if you would like to send a message or share photos of Devin though this page I will be sure she gets them. Thank you in advance and remember that kindness comes back to you in the future twofold. We will never know how much of a difference this makes until we are faced with similar tragedies so be sure to hug your loved ones each day. And please share this post with your family and friends as well if you could.
