Devil's Food: An SDSU Thesis Film
Donation protected
Hello all! My crew and I are looking to raise funds for our San Diego State University senior thesis film entitled Devil's Food. In this coming of age tale, a young girl named Sophie recieves a gift on her 16th birthday that transforms her into a woman as well as a transcendental being. This satire tackles the myths and misgivings surrounding the transformation a woman goes through as she changes from a girl into a woman.
This film is made for women by women. No one can tell a girl's tale like a girl herself.
All of the funds raised from this campaign will go directly toward filming expenses. These include camera rental, location fees, compensation for actors traveling from Los Angeles, and more. Our shoot is scheduled for October 20, 21, and 22, 2017.
Your support would mean the absolute most to us. As college students, many of us seniors, we have high hopes of completing our final project to its fullest potential. As many of you know, college is expensive, and if we were able to raise the funds, we would not have to fund our senior project entirely out of pocket.
The lovely ladies working on this film come from all different backgrounds, but we have one thing in common: we are women with a story to tell. While telling our story, Devil's Food, we hope to give other girls the inspiration to tell their stories through film.
XOXO,
