Deven's College Fund: In Memory of Nicole

Nicole Kathleen Pillott, a devoted mother, brilliant engineer, and inspiring soul, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 48, after a courageous 5½-year battle with ALS. Born on February 4, 1977, in Bellflower, California,  Nicole lived a vibrant life filled with love, adventure, and service to her family and community.

Nicole was the cherished mother of her daughters, Aunastazia Harming and Taylor Fuller, and her son, Deven Poe. She also held dear her daughter-in-law, Alexa Fuller (Taylor’s wife), and their son, Remington Fuller. She is survived by her mother Beverly Roosevelt and siblings, Diana Berner, Donna Ursenbach, Christopher Pillott, Natasha Cashen, Matthew Pillott, and Drew Pillott. She was preceded in death my her father, David Pillott.

A trailblazer, Nicole earned her master’s degree in engineering and dedicated 22 years to Intel, where her innovative contributions left a lasting impact. Her passion for creativity and education shone through her volunteer work in Girl Scouts, teaching art literacy and inspiring children through projects with warmth and enthusiasm.

Nicole’s adventurous spirit led her to travel with her family to Paris, Italy, Mexico, Canada, and Alaska creating treasured memories. Remarkably, she continued these journeys while bravely battling ALS, showcasing her resilience and determination to live fully.

Nicole's strength inspired all who knew her, as she faced her illness with grace.
Nicole's legacy of kindness, intellect, courage, and selflessness, lives on in her family, friends, and community. Her light continues to shine through loved ones and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:30 PM at Hoyt Arboretum to honor her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to support her son Deven Poe’s college funds.
