Glenbower Woods are community owned, and we have a lot of work taking place at the moment:
- Development of the playground, and resurfacing of the carpark in the playground. In conjunction with Cork County Council we are developing the playground to provide better community facilities
- Resurfacing of the road into the woods. With the support of Cork County Council this road is being resurfaced, and we need to contribute €1,200
- Repair of bridges following storm Babet.
- Clearance of pathways around the woods, an ongoing task for our voluteers.
- Management of invasive species (rhododendron and cherry laurel). Invasive species are detrimental to the woods, and their management will benefit all users of the woods.
All of these jobs require some funding on our behalf. So any help you can give will be appreciated. Please share, and thank you.
