Developing future horseracing talent

It’s not just a hobby
In November 2020 my schooling changed forever when I was forced to choose between my passion or my education at school.
Horse racing has played a big part of my life from when I was a toddler up till now, even before then it played a major role in my family and I wanted to continue that by becoming a jockey, something that I loved and was passionate for.
I was thrilled when I was accepted into the National Horseracing College (NHC) for a two-year development programme, happy to make another step towards my goal in life. My school supported this by agreeing to give me day-release, one day a week (which I could happily make up for on my weekends). The happiness was cut short when school took back this offer and demanded that I choose: my dreams or my school.

This was a hard decision for me considering how much I love horse racing (my passion) and because I understand how important school is. Then my dad made me aware of home-schooling and how that could enable me to continue the amazing opportunity I had been gifted.
Only my dad works and my mum has a brain tumour, making funds limited to our family but I am determined to overcome this and do the best I can for my dreams and my future.
If you are able to donate then the money will go towards getting me through some GCSEs with any money over the set target going to the charity help for injured jockeys and another chosen relevant charity.
