Jones' Great-Great-Grandfather, Nathaniel Sawyer, was a founding member of the NAACP in Topeka, KS in 1913. His ancestors on both his father's and his mother's sides come from Native American bloodlines via the Powhattan (Pocahontas’s Tribe) and Creek. Jones believes that his whole life has led him to create a legacy for his family to visit and share with the world as educators, civil rights activists, doctors, pharmacists, artists, and performers.
