Coffee Catastrophe: Rebuilding Goat & Bean ☕

Hello dear friends, fellow coffee lovers, and compassionate souls:

 

I'm Betel, the proud co-owner of Goat & Bean Coffee, a women-owned Ethiopian small business in Atlanta.

 

My mother and I embarked on this wonderful journey last June and have since been thrilled to spread joy through our delightful coffee to families, healthcare workers, teachers, and eventgoers alike.

 

With a heavy heart and an urgent plea, we reach out to you today. Our cherished mobile coffee shop, which has brightened days and energized countless individuals across neighborhoods, schools, hospitals, and more, was tragically caught in a severe car accident. We lost not only our inventory but also our trailer and all the equipment essential for brewing our delicious coffee.

 

This heartbreaking incident occurred just before our first anniversary, which would have been next month. In our inaugural year, our mobile coffee shop has been a source of happiness, offering quality coffee and a cozy space for people to connect. It's more than a business; it's our passion.

 

Now, we're faced with the immense challenge of starting anew. The expenses of replacing the trailer, espresso machine, grinders, coffee beans, and other necessary tools are simply staggering. We humbly turn to you, our amazing community, for support.

 

The heart of our mobile coffee shop was our trailer, which functioned as our workspace and portable coffee sanctuary. The funds raised will enable us to obtain a new trailer and continue serving our community. Additionally, it will help us replace the equipment and inventory we lost, ensuring we can once again create those perfect cups of coffee.
