Devastating fire destroys dreams of young man

Hi my name is Eileen and I woke up this morning to some heartbreaking news….an aspiring young entrepreneur, Nick Bishop, lost all hopes of becoming a business owner when the business he’s been working on purchasing (Magda’s Pizza and Deli) went up in flames. Nick has been working at Magda’s for over a year doing what he loves…baking pizza! Several months ago the owner decided it was time to “give it up”. He turned the business over to his son and Nick who were supposed to be partners. After a few weeks of hard work his son decided it wasn’t the right path for him and bowed out of the partnership. Nick was trying to come up with the funds to buy the place himself but everything was getting in the way. Place needed some work that should have been done before changing hands, his mom got sick and spent many months in the hospital. She was recently discharged but is still not doing well. Nick was named her caretaker and spent his days doing what he needed to but he rarely missed work. I had the pleasure of working with him and several other young kids (yea…I was a work mom) and I enjoyed every moment of it. Nick worked harder than anyone I know and now this….his heart and dreams are shattered. It may not have been his building but it was his blood. He baked with pride and enjoyed pleasing his ever growing number of customers. Nick just proudly hung his city license yesterday……now that hot pink piece of paper is rubble.
