My name is Chris, and I am fundraising for some life emergencies that have just happened to me.

I was laid off from my primary job back in May of this year due to "restructuring." My severance package was enough to make it a few months, but my unemployment wasn't even going to start until well after it had run out. I was able to get a job as a delivery driver but was let go from that a couple of weeks ago due to an incident that happened at the store. That incident has resulted in my needing to retain a criminal defense attorney to further defend myself against the individual that caused the incident at the store, for which I lost my job.

Now, in the middle of trying to figure that out, my car's transmission is going out and is going to cost more than we have, more than it's worth, and more than half of what we still owe on it to repair.

I am not at all certain what to do at this point as all of this represents a considerable amount of uncertainty for me and my family. I am making this in hopes that I can get some help in getting a lawyer and my car fixed so that I can continue looking for employment and make it to any appointments I get that can't be done over the phone.
