Help John, Jennifer, and Sydney Rebuild Their Lives After the Eaton Fires
At 4 a.m., my older brother, John Brauneisen, his partner Jennifer, and her daughter Sydney were abruptly woken to the devastating reality that their neighborhood in Altadena was burning. The Eaton Fire swept through their community, taking everything they’ve worked for.
Jennifer and Sydney acted quickly to gather their animals: a parakeet, two parrots (one that is 69 years old), a cat, and dog, and escaped to safety. John, determined to save their home, stayed behind in an attempt to protect it. Sadly, after just 45 minutes, his efforts were in vain, and the flames engulfed the entire house. John barely escaped with his life.
In the blink of an eye, they lost their home, all their possessions, and the life they had built. This is a devastating blow, and as they begin to process the emotional and financial impact of this tragedy, they need our help to rebuild and recover.
How You Can Help:
On behalf of our family, I have set up this fundraiser to support John, Jennifer, and Sydney as they navigate this difficult time. The funds will go towards:
Temporary housing
Replacing essential items like clothes, furniture, and household items
Animal care and supplies for their beloved pets
Costs associated with rebuilding their lives
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and bring them one step closer to healing and rebuilding their lives. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Together, we can help them rise from this tragedy and rebuild their future.
