Devastated by Helene... help us if you can.

Hey folks. This one is for us. Helene got us bad. The basement and first floor flooded and are full of mud. So much ruined.

There is no way to the house besides hiking through 18" of wet mud and muck. The bridge and road are destroyed.

Fuel and waste that leaked into the water are everywhere and the fumes are toxic.

It will be months before there is basic infrastructure such as power, water, cell service, roads. The only grocery store in Spruce Pine was destroyed. The area won't be liveable for a long time. Our house is absolutely uninhabitable. We are safe. But things are pretty terrible.

I know a lot of you have helped already and we are so grateful. What you can do is spread this link.
